1997 Ford Taurus Service Engine Light
Engine Mechanical problem
1997 Ford Taurus 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 165000 miles
1997 Ford Taurus LX DOHC V6 with Service Engine Light that comes on reguarly after trying to fix and reset - (codes) 401 & 430. Car runs great but have replaced EGR valve, DPFE sensor, fuel pressure regulator, cleaned tube that runs from EGR to manifold with carb cleaner and long wire brush to make sure it was not obstructed. Also tried cleaning mass air flow sensor and top O2 sensor with wire brush. Need to get expected and pass NC emission test soon and not sure what else I can do before bringing to shop. Will new O2 sensors help? Frustrated and interested in any thoughts on next steps I should take? Thanks.
