Shakes or Wobbles problem
1997 Ford Taurus 6 cyl Automatic 136882 miles

My 97 Ford taurus started to shake recently when in park or while braking.

It gets oil changes/tune ups when needed, just had spark plugs and air filter done just wondering what could be causing this problem.

When on the outside of the vehicle the sound seems to be coming from the muffler?

I've been noticing as I have let this go for a couple of weeks that it has been taking longer than normal to accelerate from park as well.

Hi:
It sounds like the catylatic converter may be starting to plug. Does it seem like there is a good bit of pressure coming from the exhaust? You may want to have it checked.
