Noises problem
1994 Ford Taurus Automatic
I was driving into work this morning and my transmission on my car started giving me trouble. The car is acting like it don't want to go. I have been putting transmission fluid and oil in my car and keeping a check on the fluids. I finally made it into work this morning and when I got in the parking lot and cut off the car I heard a loud pop. After this smoke started coming out from under my hood and the car started smelling hot. But be for this none of my lights came on and my temp. gauge did not run hot. I have not tried to start my car since then because I had to get into work. Could you tell me possible what would be causing my transmission to do this and what possibly that pop sound was?
