We have 1993 Ford Taurus GT Station Wagon, with a 3.8 L V6 engine. It was working great yesterday, but now it won't start. When we try to start it, the lights all come on, but there is no noise under the hood. The battery level is fine, we checked the fuel pump restarter. We took the battery cables off for 5 minutes to let the computer reset, then put them back on, but it didn't work. All of the fuses are fine.
It's still doing the same thing, try to turn it on but the engine doesn't make a sound.

Have you checked the starter? What I need you to do is get a test light or digital multi meter and check the smaller wire at the starter it will be red with a light blue stripe. When you put the key in the start position (like you are trying to start it) does this wire have voltage? If so pull the starter and have it checked at a local parts store. If so then move the shifter from neutral and try to start it. If it still will not turn the starter over to start the engine then we need to check the neutral safety switch on the transmission for proper operation. Let me know what you find and we will go from there.
