FUEL PROBLEMS

1998 Ford Station Wagon

Engine Performance problem
1998 Ford Station Wagon 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 135, 00 miles

While driving on steep hills on the interstate or in city stop and go traffic the car has trouble getting enough gas to go. The car will hesitate when the gas is stepped on and the rpms will shoot up and the car will jerk forward. I think there is a problem with the gas pump, fuel injectors, or fuel lines rather than a transmission problem. The car has about 135,000 miles and has just been serviced. Any help would be appreciated. Any ideas?
