Ford Ranger Repair Question

Starter
On the way to work i stopped and got gas then the 87 ford ranger started but the starter wouldn't kick out i unhooked the positive cable and hooked it back up i started and drove to work after i got off work i had the same problem but this time unhooking the cable didn't help everytime i touch the positive post the truck rolls over

Your solenoid on the starter is hanging and I would look at replacing the starter.
