Oil Pressure

Oil pressure guage indicates no oil pressure. Vehicle will start, when put in drive it will not move forward. However, when placed in reverse vehicle will move in reverse. The day before I noticed no oil pressure, the yellow 4x4 lights would come on and flash 6 times, and several minutes later the 4x4 lights would flash again. The next day is when I discovered no oil pressure is when the vehicle would not move forward. Would replacing oil pump correct this problem

Two seperate issues I take it. The oil pressure is telling you the engine is not getting pressure. Though there could be other problems, ie bad guage, oil pump. Low oil, etc.

The truck movement is another issue. What is the tranny fluid level, etc?

I will not be able to check tranny level until later today. I will post reply as soon as possible. Additionally, I was attempting to remove the oil pan for access to the oil pump. Is there any special way to remove pan without removing the engine?

Is this, and I assume it is an automatic tranny?

Have you depleted all options on the oil pressure? Hate to see you go to the work of replacing the oil pump when it is a guage or something else. For instance, with limited oil pressure the cam area of the vehicle should be getting limited amounts of oil and possibly none. Can you verify this. Visual through oil fill hole, etc.
