Why is my heater on my Ford Ranger model 2000 so low even though the heat is on high. Also the fuel pump keeps shutting off after I start it and it won't start again, and the theft light is blinking. Please help

Hey lucy,
Please describe some more detail as to your heating problem. As to the other issue, your truck has gone into "theft mode" and usually its cause by a faulty "sensor" in the ignition lock cylinder assy. I have to recommend you take it to a ford dealership for diagnosis and repair for that issue. Let us know

My heater is on to the max but it's like on real low, no heat practically, plus the fuel pump keeps shutting off after I start and then it won't start

As in the blower is cranking out air but the actual heat is not what it should be?
Yes, when the truck goes into theft mode it kills the fuel pump, thats why the theft light is flashing

It goe's on and very little heat, not what it should be. I guess somehow my husband can reset the anti theft or whatever to have my truck running again, we don't have a repair place up here where I live, everyone doe's there own vehicles. No manual to follow either, they guy we bought it from lost it.
