I have a 1988 ford ranger xlt 6 cyl. 79,000 mi. I recently replaced the distributer because it was bad. I also replaced the spark plugs/wires, and the soliniod. The cap is really loose and moves alot. How do I tighten it? Is there a special wrench? Plus the bolt is in the back so its tough to get to. Thanx.

Install the cap noting the square alignment locator, then tighten t0 16 in inch pound.
Sounds like the distributor cap not properly seated on base.
