2003 Ford Ranger Won't Start

I just bought an 03' Ranger w/99500 miles. Its been running fine aside from a slighly rough Idle and an intermittant check engine light. I drove it all day the other day and it ran fine. I parked it in the driveway and came out a few hours later and it won't start. It turns over just fine. I checked the codes and it gave me a cylinder 5 misfire and a Misfire @ 1000 revs. I'm not sure what the second one means but I changed the plugs and checked all the fuses and still nothing. Any Ideas?

Use starting fluid thru the throttle body-if it fires up check the fuel pressure if not-disconnect a plug wire or 2 ground it and crank engine over-do you have a snapping blue spark?
