I own a 2000 Ford Ranger with a 3.0L V6 engine 67000 miles. I know my oxygen sensor has gone out, I just do not know which one. I have been told by several people different amounts of sensors, I have been told 2, 3, and 4. I am trying to figure out how much it is going to cost me to get it fixed. Can you please help me. Thank you for your time.

They best way is to climb under the truck and take a look. They look like spark plugs threaded into your exhaust system.

I would say there is probably 3 o2 sensors on your ranger. One in each exhaust manifold and one after the 2nd catalytic converter.

The sensors themselves arent expensive, they are just a pain in the butt to remove from the bung on the exhaust. Usually they are rust welded to the exhaust and have to be heated with a torch to remove
