My ranger is getting a PO133 error on my elm scan tool, and the check engine light comes on a while after I clear the codes. I have replaced the right front
(passenger side) 02 sensor, and the one behind the cat recently. The car has four 02 sensors, one on each exhaust pipe just after the manifolds, one before the first cat, and one after the second cat. The book says the code PO133 is bank 1 sensor 1, but everyone I talk to identifies the sensors differently. Just exactly which is which on this ranger? Thanks

Hello,

The bank 1 sensor 1 oxygen sensor is the one that is located on the right-hand side (if you are facing the engine) exhaust manifold before the catalytic converter.

Keep in mind that the code P0133 can be triggered due to a bad oxygen sensor, also due to an exhaust leak, bad wiring or faulty MAF sensor.

I have attached diagrams for your reference.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you.
