Transmission problem
1996 Ford Ranger 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual ? miles

Hello, I was replacing my clutch in my ford ranger. When i went to replace the slave bearing there is a rubber boot that slide's over the base when compressing the spring.that boot/rubber seal has come off so I was wondering how important that part .Does it just serve as a dust boot are is it holding back fluid
