1992 Ford Ranger Repair Question
Asked on January 10, 2008
Abs proportioning valve
Brakes problem
1992 Ford Ranger 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual 114000 miles
I had defective brake shoes on the rear of my truck. The supplier replaced them. While I had the brakes off, I replaced the wheel cylinders and brake hardware. When I removed the brake line to wheel fittings, there was brake fluid in the lines.
After replacing the brakes, I couldn't get the rear brakes to bleed. (either side). The fronts are fine. There are no warning lamps illuminated, and everything else appears fine.
I had one tech tell me it is the ABS proportioning valve.
Is there any way to rebuild or repair these?
