My 1990 ford ranger won't start. It cranks but does not sound like it is firing. I took the battery and had it checked, it was fine. The cylinoid is fine too. Mine is mounted on the dog house above the wheel well, not on the starter. I can smell gas when i try to start it. the fuel pump is engaging when you turn the key on. It has the 2.3 cyl with eight plugs and two coil packs, one for each side of each cylinder. it recently had a tune up. I don't know where to look next. Any suggestions?
