2000 Ford Puma Two Wheel Drive Manual

Hi,

I was just wondering if you could help me out! Very randomly when i turn on my engine or open my passenger door an alarm starts going off in my car ( i don't even have an alarm on my car) for about one minute and the harard lights go off for about 5 mins. Its really frustrating and embarassing as I cannot go anywhere in case it goes off. Do you have any idea what this is??
