1996 Ford Probe Won't start

Electrical problem
1996 Ford Probe 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 110000 miles

Daughter was driving down the freeway and the car just dies on her. She coasts to the side of the freewayand the car won't start, daughter says it is cranking kinda slow. I call road side assistance they replace the battery now the car cranks over like it should but will not start. I have checked the fuel pump reset and the fuel pump relay. They both seem to be working fine, I can hear the fuel pump turn on when I turn on the key. The ignition relay under the hood clicks on when the key is turned. I have not checked for spark yet. Do these cars have an ignition module or something? I know on HEI units there is a module that goes out and kills the distributor, are these the same way?

Have you checked for spark and fuel pressure?
