1996 Ford Probe Car shuts off while driving

1996 Ford Probe 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic
My car just shuts off while Im driving, it lets me start it again right away. We replaced the computer and the distributor, I have no idea what could be wrong...any ideas?

Has the check engine light ever come on? WHen running, is the engine smooth and have a regular amount of power?
