I need to know how to change the transmission filter in my car. I took the pan off of it which is on the side of the transmission, and I couldn't see the filter anywhere.

If you removed oil pan from tranny then you should have seen the filter screen..you don't have to replace this filter screen, simply clean it is good enough. you do need to use new "O" rings though when reinstalling. filter and gasket set will look similar to pic below..
