Engine Performance problem
1993 Ford Probe 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 350000 miles
i have a ford probe 93 GT, it will stat but as soon as it does their is a lot of smoke that comes out of the timing belt cover. Also when its starting their is a kind of screeching noise. any ideas as to what it could be?

You need to open up the timing belt cover-smoking could mean alignment problem causing it to rub against something in there or tensioner and idle pulley locking -up
