I HAVE NO CLUE! FUEL SYSTEM MAYBE?
I have a 2001 Taurus with a little over 96k miles on it. My problems started when the car began " jumping" while foot on brake during reverse and overdrive. I also noticed my tachometer lowering to the point once the car shut itself off to jumping high for no reason. I have done sparkplugs, wiring harness, checked the coil pack, replaced the transmission switch (the one that controls the fuel flow based on what gear you are in), transmission fluid, transmission filter, topped off all fluids. I've spent so much money I'm crying here! : Cry: If sitting in the car it almost feels like a backfire sometimes but no sound. It just jumps. Someone please help! My engine light is on and I had the code read and it said cylinder one misfire! Everytime I replace something the same thing over and over and over. Could it be I need a really good fuel injection cleaning? If so, what is the best?
