Hi
Not strictly a repair question, but a local motoring writer states that cruise control works "by letting a car gain a few kilometers an hour, then slowing it down again through engine braking" (New Zealand Autocar july 2010). This seems at odds of the general view that cruise control is designed to maintain the chosen speed exactly, and I was wondering if anyone can shed some light on this man's theory.
