1996 Other Ford Models SHORT IN WIRING HARNESS
Electrical problem
1996 Other Ford Models Automatic 127000 miles
Econoline van........first start up the REAR ABS light stays on. After driving a few minutes, speedometer, windshield wipers and turn signals go dead. Headlights still work. When transmission shifts, there is a LOUD BANGING. Mechanic said that a diagnostic test showed a short in the WIRING HARNESS. Had it replaced, drove fine for three days and then the same thing happened. Would like a "second opinion" before I take it back.
