1996 Other Ford Models overheating and will not reverse

1996 Other Ford Models 4 cyl Automatic 136,00 miles
I just recently brought a used car a 1996 grand marquis I got it checked out and was informed dat I need a full tuneup and replace a o2 sensor my car is overheating like smoking and I now can't reverse please help me!
