I have a 1996 Ford Tauras with approx. 146,000 miles. When I turn the key to start the car nothing happens. No sound, nothing. The lights, radio, horn, flashers all work so I know there is battery power. This just started happening about 10 days ago while my son was driving and the engine just stopped running. It took some time but the car did restart. Then 2 days ago the problem I mentioned above started and the car has not started since.

My understanding is this could be caused by by an electronic module malfunction but I don't know which one. Please advise. Thanks
