Ford Mustang Repair Question

White smoke
I have a 1983 5.0 mustang I degress the engin. I let it dry and trun it on and white smoke came out of the exhaust it run for a few min the it made a wride nosey and turn off. Now it turn on but i have to indel it a litte higher and it still make that nose.

What kind of noise and where is it coming from?
Has it gotten any better or worse?
Got some water in the intake probably.
