The owners manual says to use Synthetic Mercon III ATF fluid for the standard transmission. The Haynes Manual says to use Mercon III ATF. The Service Department of the local Ford Dealer says to use Mercon V. Which is the appropriate fluid to use in the T45 standard transmission?
