Over heating problem

I have a 1988 Mustang GT with a 1992 5.0 engine which has been worked. It is over heating and I have replaced the water pump and the thermostat with a low temp stat. I also had the radiator flushed. I don't know what else to do. Would the radiator cap cause it to over heat? I am trying to avoid replacing the radiator. It has no leaks. Runs good. Just over heats.
