Mustang HEATER CORE REMOVAL

I AM REPLACING THE HEATOR CORE AND DO I NEED TO DISCONNECT AC LINES TO GET HEATER BOX OUT.

Most of my experience is with the Fox body style, but the quick and dirty answer is yes. If you MUST remove the entire box, the AC lines need disconnecting. However, if the design allows it, and you are limber enough, you may be able to get at it through the glove compartment. A lot of us in the neighborhood were getting around the extensive labor and expense by doing this. Sometimes we could simply loosen some dash screws and pull it out slightly to gain enough clearance. It can be done on some models. Hopefully, yours is one of them. Good luck.
