I have a 96 mustang gt 4.6 sohc that I recently purchased and have been fixing up for about a month but ever since I bought the car I have noticed that the idle seems to hang when I shift and when I rev the engine it is really annoying me and I have cleaned the IAC with b-12 and the mass air flow heated wires I am at witts end with it im not sure what to do next when I unplug one of any of the components that control intake air it seems to work beeter but with some other draw back like if I unplug the IAC the rpm throttle response is excellent except the engine will idle too low and just about die when you let off the throttle the same with any other of the components I.E. The TPS, MAS, Etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated I dont have alot of money and the mechanic at the ford house is an a-hole. And the parts are higher than a cats back.?

Do you mean when you shift the idle doesn't return to normal, its at high revs? And what is b-12? If engine isnt returning to normal idle, 700-850. Check the throttle cable and throttle area for obstruction.

Well If the response is normal after unplugging the IAC, I would replace it. It's not unheard of for these and MAF's to be bad and not throw a code.
