I have a 2001 Mustang Bullet with a V/8 that has a blown 5 speed transmission and has been sitting for about a year and a half. I finally have the resources to get it repaired and need to get it running before I can take it to the transmissiom place. I use to ocassionally start it and let it run just to keep the oil circulated. Now I can't keep it running. It will start right up when I spray starting fluid into the throttle body but dies as soon as the starting fluid is exhausted. It acts as it's not getting any fuel. I'm confused as it use to fire right up and it's showing over 1/4 tank of gas. I would appreciate any help I can get. Thanks

Hope this helps. I would drain the gas tank, and put 5 gallions of gas mixed with a can of "sea foam" for cars not transmissions, most auto parts stores carry it. If it starts let it run for a little while to clean up everything, shut it off and let it sit over night or until you are ready to take it to the trans shop. Let me know how it turns out. FRED
