Ford Mustang 4.6 1999 Manual Gear 110,000 Mile

When I accelerate the mustang upto 2000 RPM or above and keep the speed level at 2000 RPM without shifting up to the next gear, the engine makes a cranking noise, a strange noise. But when I accelerate fast and reach 3000 RPM, and then shift up, the sound dissappear, this happens almost at any gear number. Engine checkup and computer says nothing, powe is OK, only this strange noise like something is being hit or crashed.

What could be the problem? Is this a normal sound behaviour?

Yeah. I have just bought the car recently. I've done the test as you have told me. There's no noise sound when accelerating on N or when presssing the clutch pedal. There's a bit of a change in the sound, but it's not the same sound I get when the gear is engaged. I only get that sound when I drive. The mechanic couldnt catch that sound because he was accelerating roughly and shifting fast to test the car and engine performance. Any idea?

Well it came out the noise is there even when in idel position around 2000 RPM. I deived it to Ford authorized ealer and they said its the engine bearings or something like that is making the noise. They need to open the engine to check which type of bearing need to be changed.
