I have a 2004 ford mustang v6 (manual trans.). I bought this car in january of 2007. Soon after I bought the car I realized that something was wrong. Everytime I would shift into fifth gear it would scrub really bad, sometimes I would have to back out and shift back in just to get it to go into gear. Yesterday I had the same problem but when I backed out to go back in I heard a loud pop (what sounded like a cable breaking, followed by what sounded like a cable recoiling) then I was unable to get it to go in any gear. Could it be the clutch cable or something else?
