I have a 2004 ford mustang v6 (manual trans.). I bought this car in january of 2007. Soon after i bought the car i realized that something was wrong. Everytime i would shift into fifth gear it would scrub really bad, sometimes i would have to back out and shift back in just to get it to go into gear. Yesterday i had the same problem but when i backed out to go back in i heard a loud pop (what sounded like a cable breaking , followed by what sounded like a cable recoiling) then i was unable to get it to go in any gear. Could it be the clutch cable or something else???
