C4 trans
I have a 1966 mustang.it has a c4 auto trans.i got the trans from a salvage yard.it shifts into reverse and from first to second but not to third.any help would be apreciated.thanks tim

i thought it might be a 2 speed too .but when it is in d you shift down to 2 it doesnt downshift.and when shifting from 2 to d it doesnt shift.

it's likely because the linkage is not in synch

the linkage seems to be ok.it goes from park to r to nutral then to drive but when im doin 60 then shift down to 2nd it just stays the same .

valve body in the trans? i assume you've flushed the trans system?
