Ok, I was able to get the clutch to engage by bridging the plug on the dryer. The compressor kicked on immediatley and I got some nice cold ac. So since this worked, what could the problem be? Thanks

Ok, I had to order the switch as nobody had it in stock ofcourse. Shoud be here in a few days. All I can get is R134 with oil all ready added. Is this a problem?

I didnt add any oil to the compressor as the paper work that came with it said nothing about it. It is a rebuilt compressor. The R134 that I add had oil in it. Also after rechecking the charge level with the compressor running I had almost no pressure on the gauge. I only added one can, was this not enough? My switch will be here today.
