Thank You for your reply. As a matter of fact I tried it with the heat on and no odor. I bought this used Mustang for my son and have not change the cabin filter because I simple did not know that it exist.
Do you happen to know the location for this filter?

The Cabin Air filter was more of a side question, I don't know that this one has one, and very well may not from what I see after looking. They are becoming more popular on most cars now but did start in the early 2000s.

Anyways you need to clean the evaporator, there is mold that grows on it because it is wet and doesn't dry off well. There are chemical available to do this, if you can't find any, let me know. You need to remove the blower motor to get to it.

The purple arrow point to the evaporator core.
