Noises problem
2002 Ford Mustang 6 cyl Automatic 99000 miles

i drive a 2002 mustang v6. I was driving on the high way when all of a sudden I heard a loud noise. I turned down the radio and took my foot off the accelerator. Only to find out every time I put my foot on it is when it gets loud. I didnt here a pop or anything! Could be that I need an oil change?

Does it get louder with the increased rpms? Is it any louder at idle? Do you think it is an exhaust problem like a hole in the muffler or a crack in the tubing? Please describe a little more.
