THe theft warning light on the instrument cluster won't turn off. Doesn't matter if car is on or off. What do I do?

I have had a problem with mine that was due to wires in the harness breaking at the connector below the dash. (Note: I am in N. IL and the cold weather was part of the problem).
It is an easy part to replace.
