I have a 1987 ford mustang gt. I have a optima red top battery that is about 2 months old. I left my fog lights on for about 5 hours yesturday and I have had to jump start it to get it started since then. While driving it today the car started to loose power and wouldn't accelerate. Finally the car just shut off. I tried to jump start the car but nothing. Could my alternator be bad? What elese besides my battery could be wrong?

On some Fords and your could be one of em, you need a fully charged battery, or alternator death can occur! Change the alt, and charge the battery before starting it, Rebuilt alts will come with a tag warning about this! Hook up the neg(-) cable last, and remove it fisrt!
