Engine Mechanical problem
1998 Ford Mondeo 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual
hello I have a 1.8 td mondeo and she had a little problem starting up in the cold but as soon as she starts she runs lovely UNTIL! I decided to change the glow plugs to try to solve the starting problem, I successfully changed the glow plugs but during the process had to remove the cold start mechanism by the throttle mechanism. After a bit of hassle I replaced the cold start mechanism and fired the car up to find that the car is idleing really irratic and not firing quite right, the car also kicks out strong smelling fumes, I think when removing the cold start mechanism the little spindle that it sits on may have turned a revolution one way or the other and i think this may be the problem,my question is what is the method of setting up the cold start mechanism? (to take it back to optimum settings? would be very greatful for any feedback thankyou
