1989 Ford LTD Overdrive wont engage.
Transmission problem
1989 Ford LTD V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 142000 miles
I recently rebuilt the engine in a 1989 ford crown victoria LTD. The owner maintains that the the overdrive was in perfect opperation before I pulled the engine. I replaced the engine and now the overdrive in the transmission wont engage,its like it gets to a certain RPM and then it just freewheels. All other shifting points in the transmission are normal,including reverse. The engine is a 5.0 F.I.the tranny has 1st ,D,and OD.Is there anything that i could have done that caused this problem?
