HELLO! I HAVE AN ENGINE PING ALSO. I TRIED STP, HIGH OCTANE GAS, ETC WITH NO RESULTS. MINE PINGS MUCH MORE WHEN THE AC IS ON AND THE ENGINE IS WARMED UP. IT EVEN PINGS AT A STOP LIGHT WHEN THE AC FAN KICKS IN. CAN YOU TELL ME IF THIS HAS A KNOCK SENSOR, EGR, AND IF THE OCTAIN BAR REMOVAL WOULD BE BEST? THANKS

2 things I would look at on this. One is a good intake cleaning, can run a can of seafoam through it, or run some through the vacuum booster line at a very slow. VERY SLOW rate with the idle speed increased.

Second and more probable is a bad MAF sensor. This can be diagnosed. Your baro reading which is taken off the mass air sensor should be around 150 to
153 hz. At sea level. For every thousand feet above sea level it will increase at 4 hz. Per thousand feet.
