I have a 2001 Ford Focus hatchback. The problem is an intermittent one; every couple months or so, my engine would crank but the engine would NOT fire up.
But if I wait for half an hour or so, it would always start again. As you can imagine, this is very inconvenient, and not knowing when this problem will crop up is worrisome. I took it to the dealer and to an independent mechanic and was told they cannot do anything about it since the problem does not show up when they hook up the computer to the car. I have changed the fuel filter but to no avail. Can it be the Fuel Relay? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
