Hi,
I recently replaced the head gasket and all other gaskets at the same time.
My problem is the rocker cover gasket. I fitted a genuine ford gasket but it keeps leaking, excessivly.
At first start up after replacing it, at idle speed, it seems fine. When the engine is sped up out on the road it blows and of course blows oil all over the engine bay.
I have tried no end of gaskets from cheap to expensive but now I think the cause is not this.
I would be very gratefull for your thoughts on this.
Thanks

Hi casedarren,

Seems there is excessive blowby buildup.

Check the PCV and the breather hose from valve cover to intake hose for clogging.

Thanks for that, I have checked the valve and hoses and they all seem fine.
Would anything else cause this blowby buildup?

Hi casedarren,

The buildup can only occur when the pressure is not released fast enough.

If the hose to the air intake is ok, what about its mounting hole, is it clogged? Air should be able to pass freely.

Check the valve cover for clogging in its air passages.
