2001 Ford Fiesta will not start

I have a ford fiesta 1.25 and wen I turn the key the ignition comes on, but wen I turn it to the crank possition nothing happens. The car does not even crank over and I have been told this may be to do with the immobiliser how do I fix this?

Check the starter relay and clutch switch
