Transmission problem
1995 Ford escort wagon 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 120000 miles

my ford festiva wagon seems like it is stuck into park but sometimes it will go into drive and move a few feet before it stops again.It wont goto nuetral or reverse. could it be the transmission or could it be a broken axle? help? i have only had the car a week (it was a gift) and i dont have money to fix it...
