My husband was driving home from work and he was noticing a light clicking noise coming from the engine. Next thing he sees is oil seeping through the side of the hood. We didn't open the hood till the next day and saw that the oil was caped all to the engine. He sais he didn't hear a bang or anything. We need to see what might have happened to see if we need a new engine or not. Can anyone please help us. We both have a job with no transportation now.

Make sure the dipstick is in, the oil cap on tight, and when was the last time a new PCV was installed?

I would also check the valve cover. They are very thin/cheap aluminum. Mine cracked for no reason right around the first rear bolt on the driver side. Also check the gasket. And FYI the replacement bushings/inserts they give you with the new gasket and bolts are too large and your bolts wont thread into the head, so try your best to save the old bolts and bushings if possible
