89 won't start

1989 Ford Festiva 4 cyl Manual 120000 miles
I have an 89 Ford Festiva that has been parked for about three or four years. It would start when parked, but will not now, even with a good battery. What do I need to check next? Also, what other problems am I likely to face trying to bring this car back to usability this car? It needed a master cylinder when parked.
