1997 Ford Falcon spark

Engine Mechanical problem
1997 Ford Falcon V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 60.000 miles

Hi have replaced the spark plugs and leads on the Gt I have mixed up 2 lead I have the firing order which is 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8 from the manual how do you find out the pin numbers of the dizzy cap The motor is a 5lt HO

No Falcon in USA..but the #1 cylinder is found by looking at the two valve covers, the one that is most forward is the number one bank, So on that side it's either 1-3-5-7 or 1-2-3-4 Trial and error on this one. Cant look it up in Mitchel.Look on the intake manifold, they used to stamp the numbers on it. This is 1990 5.0 Mustang GT diagram, but probably the same as your Falcon.

thanks for you help,this gt has GT 40 heads and fuel injected will that make a difference

No this is Mustang GT, probably the same. Once you have the same firing order, the dist. setup is the same.
