Clutch

1993 Ford F250 240,000 miles. Entire clutch was replaced in 1998. Clutch needs to be engaged to start truck. Truck worked fine. Parked, went to start again and when I pushed in the clutch it slammed to the floor. Pushing and pulling on it will make it slam to the ground or spring up real hard. Do not see any parts laying around anywhere
I am a "Working Poor" mother so anything I can do myself helps. I have a chilton, but it doesn't troubleshoot this particular problem

It seems to me your clutch cable has snapped or came undone check it out first by pulling on the cable end by the clutch release lever.
